Background Information

The International HIV/AIDS Alliance is an international non-governmental organisation (NGO that supports communities in developing countries to play a full and effective role in the response to AIDS. The Myanmar programme aims to make a contribution to HIV prevention and HIV/AIDS care and support by working together with and strengthening the capacity of key communities and local nongovernmental organizations and community based organizations (CBOs in selected areas through provision of technical assistance and grants. In 2011 Alliance has 24 partners that implement activities in the nine locations listed below.
